Researchers use NSERC Grant for Biotechnology Outreach in Underserved Classrooms
Lakehead University researchers and graduate students are using an NSERC Promo Science Grant to deliver interactive, hands-on biotechnology workshops to Ontario students in Grades 7 through 12 in hopes of raising their interest in science.

International Conference Draws Researchers from around the Globe
From July 5 - 8, Lakehead hosts an international conference on Digital Information Management - an event that has drawn 80 researchers, including two well-known keynote speakers, from 33 countries around the world.

2010 Shad Challenge asks Students to Design for Canada's Aging Population
The 2010 Shad Valley students have arrived on Lakehead's Thunder Bay campus and officially kicked off their Shad experience this morning in Senate Chambers, as various faculty, staff, and media offered a warm welcome and provided them with useful information about their month-long stay.

Research Led by Lakehead University Archaeologist Receives International Attention
An archaeological dig at Big Trout Lake is being handled by a team from Lakehead University, with Dr. Scott Hamilton (Anthropology) as team leader. The dig is receiving a great deal of media attention from around the world as a 4,600-year-old burial has been discovered and could hold the key to how ancient Canadians lived.
