Final Reminder: HR Reminder: Green Shield Canada Coverage for Dependents due Friday, Sept. 27

Dependent Confirmation

Lakehead University employees with dependent children between the ages of 21 and 25 who are enrolled in school full-time, must inform the Office of Human Resources.

To ensure benefit coverage is extended until December 31, 2020, please send written confirmation and proof of enrollment via email to by Friday, September 27, 2019.

Employees who have already notified the Office of Human Resources this year will be required to follow up with proof of enrolment.

Lakehead University is launching its first Employee Experience Survey on October 1, 2019.

The Lakehead University Employee Survey is a questionnaire designed to provide a snapshot of Lakehead’s strengths as an employer and identify opportunities for improvement. As we work together to foster environments that reflect our people first philosophy, we’re reaching out to employees to learn about our strengths, and to help identify areas where we can improve.

Senate Undergraduate Scholarships & Bursaries Committee Faculty Interest to Serve

The Senate Nominations Committee is currently accepting nominations to fill one faculty vacancy on the Senate Undergraduate Scholarships & Bursaries Committee with the term commencing immediately to June 30, 2022.

This vacancy is self nominated. Eligible candidates must be full-time faculty members.
