Roof repair at the Avila Centre starts Monday

Please be advised that roof repairs on the Avila Centre garage will begin on Monday, Oct. 28. This project is anticipated to take two weeks, weather dependent.

Participate in Take Our Kids to Work Day - Wednesday, Nov. 6

Lakehead University has planned a fun and educational program of activities for Grade 9 students for Take Our Kids to Work Day for both Lakehead Thunder Bay and Lakehead Orillia, which includes job shadowing in the afternoon.

Pre-registration to the event is required by November 1, 2019. If you are a parent, guardian or family friend of a Grade 9 student who will be bringing a child to work, please register your child by completing the general liability waiver and emailing it to human.resources@lakeheadu.ca. Please indicate if the student has any food allergies and their T-shirt size!

Lakehead University takes safety very seriously. Please note that due to safety concerns, students are not permitted to access laboratories, studios, mechanical/electrical areas, nor partake in hazardous activities or be exposed to hazards.

Rock Your Mocs postponed to Winter 2020

Rock Your Mocs, which was scheduled for November 7, 2019, is being rescheduled for Winter 2020. Therefore the smudge advisory is now also removed for that day.
