The Centre for Health Care Ethics will be hosting a panel discussion on the topic "Patient Safety Case Studies: Typical Scenarios in our Daily Practice" on Wednesday, February 9 at 7:30 p.m. in St. Joseph's Hospital's Conference Room 3 - Basement Level. Panelists will discuss how to recognize situations when patients are at risk; what approaches are just when facing errors and near misses; which risk-management practices used in aviation might be adopted in health care to minimize harm to patients; and what safety-related duties and obligations should be accepted.
