The Centre for Health Care Ethics, Department of Philosophy, and the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities will be hosting a presentation and discussion on the topic "Role of Compassion in the Practice of Medicine and Nursing" on Wednesday, September 21 at 7:30 p.m. at St. Joseph's Hospital, Conference Room 3 - Basement Level. The speaker will be Brendan Leier, PhD, Post Doctoral Fellow, John Dossetor Health Ethics Centre, University of Alberta, Edmonton. Panelists: Harriet Laudadio, RN, BScN, Executive Director, VON, Thunder Bay and District, and Kathy Simpson, MD, CCFP, General Practitioner in Oncology, Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre.
